Protein Mountains


Here is a great burger recipe for all you protein freaks out there. Try it out and let me know what you think.


Protein Mountains:

Ingredients:



  • 1lb ground beef
  • 1/2~1 cup of chopped mixed nuts (peanuts, cashews, almonds etc)
  • 1~2 cups of chopped mushrooms
  • 1/2 an onion
  • 2~5 cloves of garlic
  • pepper (lots)
  • 2~5 chilly peppers (If you have sinus problems add as many as you can take)
  • 1 free range egg
  • 1/2 cup of bread crumbs (you can use regular or wholewheat flour)
  • a hand full of seeds if you are into that sort of thing
  • a pinch of salt


Directions:


  • Chop up the nuts, mushrooms, onions, garlic, chilly peppers, and bread crumbs. 
  • Mix every thing in to the beef using a large bowl.
  • add the egg
  • if the burgers are to sloppy add a little flour until the are easy to form
  • Fry them in a large pan or on the BBQ
  • Top with cheese (you must add cheese)
  • Slap'em between some nice fresh buns or wrap in lettuse.
  • add tomato, pickles and any condiments you may like

    * You can save the grease from the burgers and use it to fry up some lotus chips. Fry them until they are nice and crispy . A lightly salting will really bring out the flavors. I suggest using sea weed salts.

These gourmet burgers are great for gym rats looking to get buff or impressing your girlfriend with some serious hamburger skills. So before the sun has totally faded away get out that BBQ one last time and give this recipe a try. Don't forget chew every bite 20~30 times, take the time to really sit back and enjoy your self.
